KYLE TIMAS
Kyle Timas is a filmmaker based in Cleveland, OH. After graduating from the University of Akron in 2023, Kyle continued his creative journey by launching Monkey Motion Pictures, LLC. With ideation around creative technique to tell unique stories, MMP LLC emphasizes an outside the box approach to artistry. Inspired by filmmakers like Boots Riley, Jordan Peele, and Yorgos Lanthimos, Kyle loves to view the world through a surrealistic and often exaggerated lens, emphasizes life's mysteries in abnormal ways but still attempting to make sense of them.
Kyle's achievements include 8 total nominations from the Great Lakes Emmy Awards receiving the Award for Outstanding Fiction Long Form (2023) and a nomination for Outstanding Director (2023) for his film "ZEROES." Timas produced, directed, co wrote, and served as the supervising editor and cinematographer for the project. Timas also won the Award for Best Cinematography at the 2026 Cleveland Short Sweet Film Festival for "Winner, Go Home" directed by Caleb Morgan.
